After leaving Sydney in late 2020, Lisa Firth and her family have found a little piece of paradise in the Kalang Valley. With abundant fruit trees and a flourishing garden, the family has immersed themselves in all that Bellingen has to offer and found some space to be creative.
The ‘Lost Paddock’ is the family’s newly created business, and is inspired by their vision for a simpler life.
“We have dreams of… kids running in the grass and swimming in the river and picking fruit off the trees for afternoon tea. We dream of a creative life, greater connection to nature, spending more time with the people we love, working for ourselves, eating food we grow, being kinder to the planet, and having the time to just sit and enjoy the sunshine.”
Making their debut this coming Saturday at Bellingen Community Markets, The Lost Paddock will have on offer:
-A variety of citrus
-Herbs, including oregano, rosemary and spearmint
-Home grown and made garlic powder and other fresh spices
-Potted mini rainforests, using foraged plants
-Market baskets and a selection of tassel garlands and felt flower pins to personalise them, and
-Some freshly baked treats, using home grown ingredients.
Be sure to drop by and say hello!
