A series of three FREE workshops called “Your Business Resilience” specially designed for Bellingen Shire businesses will kick off on Thursday 27 May 2021.

A series of three FREE workshops specially designed for Bellingen Shire businesses will kick off on Thursday 27 May 2021.

The workshop series entitled “Your Business Resilience” is being presented by Savvy Strategy Group and is offered to local businesses at no cost thanks to a grant from the Bellingen Shire Council as part of the Bushfire Recovery and Resilience Program.

Founder of Savvy Strategy Group, Stephen Saunders, is confident that local business operators will gain immense value from the workshops.

“Importantly, the series has been crafted especially for Bellingen Shire businesses and takes into account the impacts of the bushfires, and also the effects of Covid over the past 12 to 18 months,” said Stephen.

“The workshops are hands-on and are about ensuring our businesses have the know-how to plan a rock-solid pathway forward and grow the resilience needed to respond to any challenges that our changing environment is likely to throw up.”

Stephen has worked across retail, tourism and corporate businesses and adds that the workshops are suitable for all types of business.

The first workshop will set the scene with businesses developing their own set of priority actions in a 5 Step Planning process. The second workshop focuses on developing their marketing strategy, with the final workshop focusing on identifying new opportunities to enable them to shape their business heading into the future.

“Each is a standalone workshop, so business owners can sign up for one or all three,” said Stephen.

Stephen is ideally equipped to run the series. As an experienced executive leader, he has led transformational change in a range of sectors. He has also led economic and destination development across several local government areas (including Coffs Harbour) and helped existing businesses to diversify and grow. His passions include innovation and nurturing new start-ups. Stephen has a Doctor of Commerce degree specialising in Industrial Psychology, Consumer Behaviour.

Whether you are a start-up or an existing business in the Shire, these workshops provide a unique opportunity to gain the skills and capability to drive your business forward.

    Dear Youth Hub,
What we greatly need in this community is Tilers! For renovations and new builds (which there are lots of in Bellingen and surrounds)!
Could someone please come up with a course to train tilers just out of school please? There are long delays and severe shortages (sometimes waiting three to 6 months for a tiler) of excellent workers in this area. Its will be a brilliant business decision for someone will attention to detail and keep someone out of trouble.
