After a very long year of social distancing, the gang at Tree-O Gallery are back doing what they do best. The 6th Featured Artist Event Opening Night is this Saturday 27th March 4-6pm. Featuring the works of Rowena Post and Linda Coomber, this event is not to be missed.
Linda Coomber – Weaver – Linda is a wildly talented weaving and fibre artist. (See work above). “Anything that catches my eye is harvested and salvaged – later to be incorporated into beautiful textural pieces and sculptures, as well as more functional pieces like baskets, vases and bowls.”
Rowena Post – Painter – Rowena’s artworks are curious transportations that invite viewers to slow down and take the time to revel in the detail; contemplate the beauty of what you perceive and experience in each piece; and discover your very own unique meaning in each work.
They will also be joined by the talented Karen Tollan – Karen’s jewellery and bead work features stunning baroque pearls and expertly strung coloured pieces sold as individual items or matching sets; earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more – something to enchant any outfit or space.
On the night, we will also be privy to a sneak preview of the first model of Kingfisher Audio Loud Speakers. Soon to be released on the market, they are a collaboration of Tree-o’s Trevor Oliver-King and his son, Myles. The speakers are designed and built by the pair with a focus on environmental responsibility, aesthetic WOW and purity of sound.
Alongside the new collection are specially selected pieces by – Ceri Frahm, Gyorgy Szerencsi, Tracey Suter, Phil Greed, Lloyd Tubb, Bruce Gilchrist, Sean Scanlain, Peter Sullivan, Steve Ball, Garry Aitchison and Les Turner – all resonating atop a variety of beautifully crafted timber furniture and other home décor pieces made by the trio.
The Trio at Tree-O Gallery Bim Morton, Trevor Oliver-King and Sarah Andersen invite the public to join them in welcoming this exciting and much awaited new collection to the gallery. All attendees will need to check in using our Covid Safe QR Code and limited numbers will be allowed into the gallery at one time. Drinks and light refreshments will be available.
